The economic development of the agribusiness in current conditions largely depends on the implementation and practical use of scientific and technological achievements, such as new varieties of agricultural crops, high-performance machines and equipment for performing processes in crop production, animal husbandry, processing of agricultural products, robots, and information and digital technologies. Regions play a special role in this taking into account the specifics of the territories. Ensuring continuous innovative development of the agricultural sector of the economy is envisaged in the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for the Development of Agriculture for 2017-2025. One of the real means of increasing the efficiency of agricultural production is the information and consulting support of the industry, which makes it possible to bring scientific and technological achievements to all participants in integrated scientific and technical projects for the development of seed breeding and production of major agricultural crops, as well as agricultural machinery. The innovative potential of the regions is entirely related to human resources and their knowledge. Regions are actively introducing elements of precision farming and smart animal husbandry into agricultural production. This is facilitated by the state agricultural policy focused on the development of innovative processes in the industry.
Information on the country's self-sufficiency in fruits and berries is given taking into account the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation. The issues of increasing the production of fruit and berry products by expanding the areas occupied for the cultivation of intensive gardens are discussed. A number of technologies have been identified to accelerate the increase in the gross harvest of horticultural products. Indicators of efficiency of intensive-type orchards on low-growing rootstocks are provided.
A number of state-of-theart innovative technologies and promising methods for growing high-quality planting material of perennial fruit and berry crops is identified. The methods of propagation of clonal rootstocks in a self-rooted mother plant by vertical and horizontal layering, as well as microclonal propagation of plants as a reliable method of obtaining identical offspring used for the propagation of promising varieties and rootstocks, which is of great importance in the propagation of a healthy planting material of fruit and berry crops, are described.
The issues of the development of horticulture through the use of modern technologies, including digital ones, are discussed. The results of the analysis of the effectiveness of the intensive type of gardens are presented. It has been found that the technology of artificial neural networks is used to optimize processes in horticulture. Information about smart technologies in agriculture, which can be used in intensive cultivation, is provided.
