In 1903, on the basis of Morozov Institute of the Moscow Imperial University (currently, P. Herzen Moscow Oncology Research Center, a branch of the National Medical Research Radiological Center, Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation), the first specialized unit in Russia was opened – department of radiation therapy of oncological diseases, in which scientific research in the field of medical radiology was officially launched in our country for the first time. The first studies in the field of radiation therapy can be attributed to this period.The article presents a brief summary of the historical development of radiotherapy in the world and in Russia; provides information on the achievements of global importance, fundamental for this scientific field. The activities of leading Russian organizations in the field of radiation therapy are reviewed; names of scientists, doctors and other specialists who have made a significant contribution to its development are provided. The main literature sources relevant to the field are given.The data in this article may be of interest and be useful for biomedical scientists, practicing radiologists and radiotherapists, oncologists, medical and graduate students, interns and other specialists.
Novel coronavirus infection, causing COVID-19, is not fully controlled for today. In periodicals, there are often reports of a high risk of severe complications in cancer patients during the development of COVID-19. The review presents information from literary sources based on the experience gained in overcoming this formidable disease and its consequences using the examples of foreign colleagues of clinicians, as well as domestic experience and recommendations for the treatment of cancer during the pandemic COVID-19 of the National Medical Research Center for Radiology of the Ministry of Health of Russia with the participation and support of the Association of Oncologists of Russia and the Association of Health Organizers in Oncology. The information is based on actual data collected through the search of sources in abstract and sciencemetric electronic databases, open access resources in Russian and English. The review presents recommendations from international and domestic professional communities regarding the routing and multidisciplinary treatment of cancer patients during the pandemic period.
РезюмеАвторы описывают клиническое наблюдение с полным клиническим эффектом после многокурсовой фотодинамической терапии больной центральным раком легких и муковисцидозом с использованием фотодитазина. Фотодитазин вводили внутривенно в дозе 0,8 мг/ кг за 2 ч до проведения сеанса облучения. Параметры облучения: плотность мощности -150 мВт/см 2 , плотность энергии -200 Дж/см 2 . Всего было проведено 3 курса фотодинамической терапии. В результате проведенного лечения отмечена полная регрессия опухоли. Пациентка находится под динамическим наблюдением в течение 2 лет после лечения, рецидива не выявлено.Ключевые слова: фотодинамическая терапия, фотодитазин, центральный рак лёгкого, муковисцидоз.
