At present, the number of ships under construction, repairing and upgrading, has increased and, accordingly, their marine outputs, which occur when there is an increased number of participants on board, which significantly impairs the habitability of the ship. In such cases, the dynamics of adaptation reactions of sailors to the conditions of navigation may differ from that on active ships and to a greater extent depend on the initial adaptation potential of the organism. This provision was the main hypothesis of the study performed. The purpose of the work is a comparative assessment of urgent adaptation of marine specialists of construction and active ships at marine outputs. Materials and methods. The control groups of 2 crews under construction ships (19 people) and 4 crews of active ships (36 people) were examined using a specially developed complex of clinical, physiological and psycho-physiological methods. The groups of seamen were divided into subgroups depending on the initial adaptation potential of the organism. Studies were conducted — in the pre-shipping period (1st stage); twice during the period of sailing — after 7 days from the moment of going to sea (2nd stage) and 3 days before the end of the voyage (3rd stage); and 4–6 days after returning to the base (4th stage). The results of research have shown the process of urgent adaptation among sailors of ships under construction, when going out to sea, is much more stressful and difficult than a similar process in the crews of operating ships. In addition, difficulties in adapting to the conditions of navigation are largely determined by the level of the initial adaptation potential of the organism, which can serve as a prognostic criterion for unacceptable deterioration in the working capacity of marine specialists. In this regard, it is extremely important not only to revise the existing labor regimes of the crews of ships under construction, repair and upgrade, but also to improve the measures of their medical (including physiological and psychophysiological) support.
Introduction. The increase in tension and complexity of the naval personnel work is naturally accompanied by an increase in the risk of formation of unacceptable functional states and a critical decrease in professional reliability. Timely detection and prevention of such states is impossible without the implementation of dynamic monitoring of naval personnel working capacity in the process of professional activity. Purpose of research — substantiation of complex technology of functional state and working capacity control of naval personnel. Materials and methods. During performance of work 215 ship experts of various profile of activity were examined. The studies were carried out using an automated functional state screening control system designed on a modular basis and implemented on a number of Navy orders. The results of research. The systems of dynamic control available at the Navy are an effective tool for early detection of borderline functional States of seafarers; determination of the working capacity stage in which the specialist is currently located; development of recommendations for the implementation of corrective measures. However, in real life, these systems are practically not used, there are no guiding documents regulating their application. Implementation of such automated systems on other ship projects requires adaptation and improvement of such systems. In addition, the Navy has no technical means to monitor the functional status of personnel directly during the performance of particularly complex tasks, the struggle for survivability and other extreme situations. Conclusion. The basic concept of screening control and monitoring of the naval personnel functional state in the process of professional activity is proposed.
Introduction. Characteristic features of tense and dangerous activities of ship and vessel specialists require constant development of their medical and psychophysiological following-up including at the stage of studying at a university and mastering a marine specialty. Complex education program for cadets often results in dysadaptation disorders and disability for successful completion. Therefore, early detection and prevention of these disorders are extremely necessary. Purpose of work: assessment of the possibilities of using an automated system for dynamic control of the process of adaptation to educational activities among cadets of marine specialties.Materials and methods. In the course of the work, 120 cadets were examined in the initial period of their education at universities. The studies were carried out using an automated system of screening monitoring of functional state, designed on a modular basis and developed for Navy orders’ use.The research results showed that automated systems of psychophysiological control available at the Navy make it possible to perform diagnostics of maladaptive manifestations in cadets, to carry out objective assessment and detail the revealed violations, and to forecast further dynamics of the functional state. This was evidenced by the presence of a statistically confirmed relationship between the integral indicators of the functional state recorded by the automated system and expert assessments of adaptation to educational and training activities at the university.Conclusion. The automated system of dynamic control of the functional state and working capacity tested in this work can be effectively used in medical and psychophysiological support of cadets to assess the process of their adaptation to educational activities.
