The article discusses the possibilities of developing ecotourism in the context of the national project “Ecology”. The article analyzes the world and domestic experience of ecotourism development. Perspective directions of this type of tourism in modern socio – economic conditions are considered. Priority tasks are formulated, the solution of which will contribute to the effective development of environmentally friendly tourism. It is concluded that an integrated scientific approach and interdisciplinary cooperation are necessary for the successful implementation of projects for the development of eco-tourism.
