Literature review of major aspects of spinal biomechanics is presented, including the strength of anatomical structures forming anterior and posterior spinal columns, kinematics of the spine and spinal motion segments, biomechanics of spinal deformity, remodeling of bone grafts in deformity condition, and biomechanics of spinal implants and instrumented spine.
