In the context of the digital transformation of universities, the development of network resources comes to the fore in the strategic development of the university library. Social networks have specific features and advantages over other types of resources for their use in solving educational and research problems. Depending on the tasks set, the university library can use different models for building client networks. The experience of applying the marketing approach for the development of the VK group of the USFTU (Ural State Forest Engineering University) scientific library in dynamics showed positive results in key indicators: the number of visits to the group was 102% of the target, the number of views was 254%.
Аннотация. С развитием цифровизации академические библиотеки все активнее используют социальные сети в качестве средства маркетинга услуг. Обзор литературы показал, что цель библиотечных коммуникаций в социальных сетях состоит в том, чтобы убедить пользователей библиотеки обратить внимание на ресурсы и услуги; студенты, со своей стороны, наиболее полезными воспринимают сообщения библиотеки в социальных сетях, связанные с поддержкой обучения, и публикации о событиях в вузе. Посредством социальных сетей библиотекари стремятся развивать отношения со своими пользователями. Проблема заключается в том, как организовать эту работу с высокой долей эффективности. Цель статьи -изложить результаты апробации программы развития представительства библиотеки в социальных сетях. Развитие ресурсов рассматривается на примере группы библиотеки вуза в социальной сети «ВКонтакте». Приводятся промежуточные результаты Программы в течение трех кварталов. На основе представленных данных фиксируется положительная динамика показателей и делается вывод, что такой показатель, как посещаемость сайта, с течением времени становится все более проблематичной, а работа с вовлеченностью пользователей в социальных сетях требует большого внимания и разносторонних подходов со стороны библиотекарей. Результаты применения маркетингового подхода по методике OKR имеют практическое значение в управлении социальными сетями библиотек всех форм организации. A qualitative assessment of the development of the journal in retrospect was given on the basis of bibliometric analysis on various parameters: topics, geography of research, citation rate, number of articles per issue. The main subject of the study was electronic versions of the journal in the electronic repository of the university. As a result of the analysis, a characteristic of the “scientific identity” of the journal was compiled, expressed in the scientific interests of the authors in the fields of reforestation, forest taxation, forest pyrology, and the study of individual forest crops, more commonly, of Scots pine. Based on the data obtained, the dependence of citation on correctly presented metadata was revealed. The positive dynamics of citation of works over time indicates the relevance of the subject in the scientific community. At the same time, on the basis of data on the absence of positive dynamics in the expansion of the geography of research in publications it is concluded that it is necessary to change the editorial policy to attract authors from other regions for further qualitative growth of the journal.
Introduction. Entry into science should occur from the first year of university. One of the main barriers is the inability to work with scientific information. In order to improve the competitiveness of students in the scientific environment, a study of the level of information culture of students enrolled in the first year of undergraduate studies was conducted.Materials and methods. The main research method is a selective Internet questionnaire survey. The main method of information analysis is the method of constructing typologies, the essence of which is to find such empirical indicators that would sufficiently adequately reflect the levels of competitiveness in research activities and the corresponding types of applicants to a technical university in the digital era.Results. During the survey, it was revealed that the majority of respondents do not have an understanding of the basics of design as a method of work, there are no skills in building an experiment, using methods of analysis and synthesis, there is no understanding of the importance of publishing the results of their work. More than 90 % of respondents have an average level of information culture with good skills in owning applied office programs.Discussion and conclusions. It was concluded that in order to achieve competitiveness in the scientific environment of students, it is necessary to teach information culture almost from scratch.
The librarians’ understanding the value of quality information, freedom of expression, access to information and quality resource base enable them to get enthusiastically in educating the population for the sake of sustainable development. Since the late 20-th century, the ecological vector has been being developed in libraries, and it is much more relevant today. The experience of the technological university’s academic library in organization and support of inclusive educational center for schoolchildren is discussed. This activity has consolidated the efforts of various groups of university community: students participating in pedagogical teams, ecological volunteers, professors, and librarians.
