The article is devoted to the study of step-by-step implementation of normative-legislative acts of financial services rights protection. The characteristic features of each stage are analyzed. The modern stage regulating protection of the rights of consumers of financial services is the author proposes to use the word experience of prudential and non-prudential regulation of the financial market. The distinctive features of prudential regulation and prudential supervision of the financial market are shown.
