In the article statistical relationships between indicators of the socioeconomic situation of Russian regions are investigated. For this purpose the integral indicators constructed according to official statistics and sociological polls were used. For comparison of trajectories of initial indicators the special characteristics reflecting the basic properties of trajectories were entered. Based on these characteristics, three groups of regions were identified using cluster analysis. It was shown that the relationship between the studied indicators differ. Therefore, different models should be used to predict these indicators for each group of regions.
