The purpose of the research is to study the spread and seasonal dynamics of toxocarosis in domestic and police dogs in the Republic of Tajikistan. Materials and methods. In order to study the period of maximum Toxocara sp. infection and seasonal dynamics of toxocarosis, monthly records were kept for dogs diagnosed with toxocarosis in a population of both domestic and police dogs from September 2016 to February 2019. We examined 70 dogs, of these 41 were police dogs and 29 were domestic dogs. 334 fecal specimens of police dogs and 221 fecal specimens of domestic dogs were examined by the Fulleborn flotation method. Results and discussion. 75 (22.3%) fecal specimens of police dogs from 336 fecal specimens studied were found to have Toxocara sp. eggs, and Toxocara sp. eggs were found in 28 (12.6%) fecal specimens of domestic dogs from 221 dogs studied. Toxocarosis in domestic dogs was reported throughout the year. The maximum Toxocara sp. infection in dogs was established
Significance. The modern trend in the development of medical service providers represents the growing role of the sector of paid medical services and is becoming an important part of the national healthcare market. The purpose of the study is to analyze trends and prospects for the development of private medical activities in the Republic of Tajikistan. Material and methods. The study analyzed the development trend of the private medicine in the Republic of Tajikistan in 2005-2022 based on regulations and statistics of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan. Results. One of the development indicators of this sphere is the increase in the number of private medical institutions. At present, by January 2023, there are 791 private medical institutions are registered and successfully operating in the Republic of Tajikistan, including legal entities (n=352) with a branch (n=92) totaling to 444 (56.1%), and individuals – 347 (43.9%); compared with the same indicators in 2005 (16 legal entities and 63 individuals) the number increased by 27.7 and about 5.5 times, respectively. The total number of employees in private medical institutions of the Republic of Tajikistan is 4756 (22.9%) people, including doctors – 1919 (40.3% and 9.2% of the total number of doctors in the Republic), paramedical staff – 1840 people (38.7% and 3.0% respectively), auxiliary workers – 1012 people. Private medical institutions account for 7.4% (n=2871) of the total number of hospital beds in the country (n=38726 beds). Over the past two years, the share of paid medical services provided to the population in the Republic of Tajikistan amounted to 455.7 million somoni or 44.7 million U.S. dollars (in 2021 – 250.9 million somoni, for 9 months of 2022 – 204.8 million somoni). Conclusion. At this stage of the development of private medicine in the Republic of Tajikistan, there is an increase in the number of private providers of medical services. Productive interaction between the public health system and private health care providers is essential for improving efficiency of care delivery to the population.
Introduction. Patient safety is the absence of preventable harm to the patient in the course of medical care and the reduction of the risk of unnecessary harm associated with medical care to an acceptable minimum. Over the past two decades, the problem of patient safety has become the object and target area of public health for specific efforts to improve it. The study aims to analyze modern scientific literature to consider problems related to clinical safety, the global burden of harming patients. Material and methods. In the context of studying the problem, the results of modern research were used to identify the causes of medical errors and to find ways to prevent them. Results. The desire to improve the level of safety and the quality of medical care is growing in the world. Consequently, significant measures to evaluate the safety of medical care and its quality will be of paramount importance. To date, there is no gold standard or established array of quality indices (QI) for measuring the quality and safety of medical care. However, many indices have been developed, and some have even been tested to measure specific aspects of patient quality and safety. Such studies are in demand to achieve a clinically significant reduction in the incidence of medical errors. Conclusion. Despite the growing recognition of the role of human medical error in medicine, to prevent or mitigate their consequences requires the search for adequate ways both at the individual and systemic levels.
