Esters of carboxymethylalginic acid have been prepared; their acylation activity in the reactions with aromatic amines and aromatic carboxylic acids hydrazides have been studied.Modification of drugs with polysaccharides allows for development of the existing formulations and preparation of new ones, possessing low toxicity, prolonged action, and the required lipophilichydrophilic balance [1]. In particular, alginic acid exhibiting a wide range of biological activity can be used for the modification [2].
