Synthesis of methyl and ethyl esters of fatty acids via transesterification of vegetable oils in super critical methanol and ethanol is carried out on a pilot installation with a continuous flow reactor. The corre sponding procedures are described, and the results are analyzed. The effect of preliminary ultrasonic treat ment of the initial mixture on the product yield is studied, and the correlation between the stability of the obtained emulsions and the composition of the initial mixture, as well as the intensity of the ultrasonic treat ment, are determined. The isobaric heat capacity of the supercritical alcohol (methanol, ethanol) -vegetable oil mixtures is measured.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
