The article analyzes the functioning conditions of the current system of social protection of the population of Ukraine. The theoretical foundations regarding the forms and sources of financing and financial support of the social protection system are considered. The features of financing social transfers through the main forms of social protection – social security, social insurance, and social assistance – are investigated. Weaknesses and ways to improve the domestic social protection system are identified. Approaches to solving financing problems in the field of social protection of the population are proposed.
This article aims to clarify the essence of "soft skills" and "performance management skills", which serve as the foundation for developing "higher-order" skills or "meta-skills". It reviews the recommendations of foreign experts on the development of soft skills and emphasizes that meta-skills are essential for cultivating a growth mindset that enables individuals to pursue lifelong learning and acquire new competencies in a constantly evolving work environment. The article argues that the development of soft skills lays the groundwork for cultivating permanent meta-skills, which can enhance employment prospects and personal and professional growth. It stresses the importance of developing key skills for future professionals across different fields of activity. The article also presents a methodology for assessing the level of soft skills development among higher education students, which can help identify areas of improvement, such as effective communication and negotiation, teamwork, organizational skills, time management, adaptability, creativity, and more. Moreover, the article contends that the development of soft skills, particularly in the context of performance management skills, can pave the way for the development of critical meta-skills. These meta-skills include stress tolerance, adaptability to change and challenges, self-management, effective communication, self-awareness, conflict resolution, cooperation, problem-solving, process innovation, adaptability to new realities, and proactivity. The article underscores the significance of these meta-skills in distinguishing oneself as a desirable candidate in the job market. The article identifies a list of necessary skills, such as the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts, effectively interact with other people; the ability to adapt to constant changes and new reality; the ability to take responsibility, etc. Overall, the article highlights the interdependence of soft skills and meta-skills and stresses the importance of cultivating both sets of skills for achieving personal and professional success in the 21st century.
The article examines the features of the functioning of the system of social protection of persons with disabilities in Ukraine. The basic normative-legal bases of realization of the corresponding direction of social policy and a modern condition of its financing are considered. The possibility of changing the practice of compensatory costs for the policy of promoting the employment of persons with disabilities has been identified. The analysis of actual problems of social protection of invalids in Ukraine is carried out and their reasons are revealed. It is emphasized that now it is expedient to improve the legal regulation of this type of social protection, and one of the important factors in achieving this goal is the normative consolidation of state social assistance to these categories of persons, its financing and timely payment. The subjects of policy implementation in this area have been identified. Ways to overcome problems at the level of different actors are suggested.
The article analyzes the social, economic and environmental consequences of hostilities in Ukraine. It has been established that the manifestation of the terrible consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war in Ukraine primarily consists of significant direct human losses, colossal destruction, the further danger of constant shelling, deterioration of the quality of life of the population and forced migration. It is established how the forced migration of Ukrainians to safer cities affects the national economy and the economy of other countries. The dynamics of the level of quality of life were analyzed and the factors affecting the indicators of this criterion were determined. The changes in social indicators were analyzed, the dynamics of environmental pollution parameters were assessed, and the nature and number of environmental crimes from hostilities in Ukraine were clarified. It has been proven that the urgency of the problem of overcoming negative crisis phenomena requires the unification of the efforts of the international community, country governments, businesses and citizens, specialists in various branches of the economy, volunteers, activists, "opinion leaders", scientists, etc. It has been proven that the country's government is already adopting the country's reconstruction programs to reduce the level of socio-economic and environmental risks. A review of the adopted programs to reduce the existing risks in Ukraine to overcome the consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war in the future was conducted.
