Through this study we analyze the errors at the socio-cultural and lexical levels, observed in the translation (from the Egyptian dialect to the Spanish), by Victoria Khraiche Ruiz-Zorrilla of the poetic book: "Tristezas De Siempre", where a compilation of written poems by the Egyptian poet al-Abnoudy. With this analysis and research work we are able to verify the importance of the lexicon and socio-cultural context of the linguistic community of origin (Upper Egypt), in order to avoid the production of errors in the professional translation of second languages (Arabic-Spanish), as the translator must not only have complete control of the source language and the target language, but also deep knowledge of both societies and cultures, especially translating from Egyptian to Spanish in poetic style.
