This research paper seeks to analyze the role of the military in counterterrorism strategies. Using the theory of Morris Janowitz about "the military as a constabulary force" and the "counter-terrorism models", this paper tried to investigate the effectiveness and sufficiency of the military as a counterterrorism tool. Some scholars tried to reveal both the effectiveness and sufficiency of the military as a counter-terrorism tool, while others focused on the negative consequences of employing such a tool.
