The study was based on the elemental areas of ecological function divisions in Chongqing. We investigated the butterfly community of Chongqing from 1998 to 2010, summarizing and analyzing the data and parameters that relating to species diversities, and then probing the influence of the parameters to the monitoring of the ecological environment and evaluating of the environmental health. The result is going to be reported in two papers, and this thesis reported the butterfly diversities of ecological function divisions of Chongqing. It has been taken the path method to investigate the diversity, the method is that the investigator chooses several sample strips from a survey region, then goingthrough the strips, collecting the specimens and recording the data. It has been set up 14503 sample strips in the investigation, the result shows that in the inspection there are 492 species of butterflies which are attached to 12 families, 187 genera; from the data it can be seen that there are 36 dominant species, accounting for 7. 3 percent of all such species; it also can be find 182 common species which occupy 37. 0 percent; the quantity of the unusual species are 155 that take up 31. 5 percent of the total species and the number of the rare species are 199 which engage 24. 2 percent of the full amount. In this study it has been selected 14 ecological function areas, it can be seen from the main text of the paper. Through the analyzing of the digital information, we discover that the species numbers of ecological function regions in the first and the tenth area are more than 250, the species richness is over 30, the degree of dominance is below 0. 10; In the second, fifth, ninth ecological function
This is our third article on butterfly communities in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of the Yangtze River. Based on the findings reported in our previous two papers entitled " The occupied rate of microhabitats, sampled percentage of species and relative abundance of butterfly community in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Yangtze River" and " The diversity indexes, richness and evenness of butterfly communities in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area of Yangtze River" , we report in this paper three parameters, namely the genus diversity index, family diversity index and hierarchical diversity index, of butterfly communities in this region. These indices are used to further investigate the biodiversity of the butterfly community and to help understand how the establishment of a reservoir would affect the ecosystem. The results show that the genus diversity index of shrub land was the highest of all vegetation types while those of farmland, which was similar with forest. It was 1. 2158 in shrub land, 0. 9006 in farmland, 0. 8558 in forest, and 0. 8235 in grassland. In terms of the genus diversity index, the microhabitats of shrub land contained four of the former six, that of grassland made up three of the last six. The family diversity index of shrub land was 0. 7674, while those of farmland, grassland and forest were 0. 5774, 0. 5716 and 0. 5503, respectively, and were therefore similar. Based on the diversity index values, shrub land seems to provide the most suitable habitat for butterflies. The hierarchical diversity index of shrub land was 3. 2975, while those of farmland, forest and grassland were similar, being 2. 5186, 2. 3960 and 2. 4059, respectively. Genus-level, family-level and hierarchy-level diversities were relatively high in shrub land and low in forest and grassland. The forest had the lowest
This is the second paper about the study of biodiversity and biological indication of butterfly in Chongqing, the purpose of this article is to set up the indication on environmental health of butterfly and of the environmental monitoring evaluation system. Basing on the previously study of the diversity parameters of butterfly in different ecological function divisions, this article focus on the research of the similarity analysis of different fauna. It has been selected 22 different diversity parameters of butterfly and 5 major environmental factors. In order to probe the selection of the monitoring index, the species and groups of indictor and to establish the evaluation system of environment, we have been analyzed them by means of regression analysis and principal component analysis. The result shows that, when observing on the region class, the diversity and evenness index of the species, genera and families in the 22 parameters could be neglected; in the 5 main environmental factors, the influence of the population pressure ( X 22 ) is more than the other four factors which respectively are the region ratio ( X 18 ) , the population density ( X 19 ) , the proportion of woodland ( X 20 ) and the amount of land containing ( X 21 ) . From the analysis of the diversity parameters, there are 10 factors that can be chosen for evaluating the
