Objectives The purpose of this review is to analyse the trend in papers related with Korean Medicine Treatment after musculoskeletal disorder surgery. Methods We reviewed Korean Medicine papers by searching Korean web databases 'Korea Traditional Knowledge Portal', 'Scientific and Technological Information Integration Service (NDSL)', 'Academic Research Information Service (RISS)', 'Korea Medical Informati on Portal (OASIS)'. We classified the papers by the year of publishment, the title of journals, the type of study, surgery region, chief complain after surgery, main treatment, periods after surgery, assessment for outcomes. Results 1. Korean Medicine treatment after musculoskeletal disorder surgery has received more attention than in the past and there are attempts to do various studies besides the case reports. 2. 41 research papers were divided in to 3 original articles, 3 review articles, 35 case reports. But almost presented a low level of evidence. 3. Pain was the most common symptom after the musculoskeletal disorder surgery. Pain should be the primary goal of Korean rehabilitation treatment after musculoskeletal disorder surgery. 4. Assessment tools for outcome were concentrated in questionnaries, VAS and NRS. In order to evaluate better, it is necessary to evaluate the overall condition of the patient such as the quality of life evaluation and patient satisfaction. Conclusions In this study, we expect that the development and clinical application of Korean rehabilitation treatment program after musculoskeletal disorder surgery will be actively pursued.
Objectives The aim of this study is to analyze the patients who have low back pain through registry. Methods We registered patients with low back pain who visited department of korean rehabilitation medicine in university hospitals on study. We collected data from 116 subjects consisted of 51 inpatients and 65 outpatients and ruled out 8 who didn't have pattern identification data at the point of inpatient or outpatient visit so we analyzed 108 in total. We used Pearson's product moment correlation to find correlationship among variables, and analyzed statistical data using Phyton scipy library stats package. Results We set general features, region of the pain, physical examination, ROM, questionnaire results, pattern identification as variables and draw a conclusion by analyzing these variables. Conclusions Registry aimed at low back pain patients was established in department of korean rehabilitation medicine of university hospitals and exploratory analysis based on data were made. Through the registry, we expect that more advanced studies will be performed; for example, executing research which verifies effectiveness and stability of korean medical treatment or developing tools to fill the gap between pattern identification and disease identification. Objectives The aim of this review is to analyse the study tendency in papers related with delphi method which are published in Korea from 2006 to 2015. Methods We searched the electronic database (NDSL, RISS, Korean traditional knowledge portal, OASIS) and checked relevant Korean journals from 2006 to 2015. 23 research papers were found and they were analyzed according to the year of publishment, the titles of journals which have the papers, the time of repeated survey and purpose of technique application. Results 1. As we analyzed by years, 2.3 papers were published per year on average. 2. As we analyzed by jounals in which papers were published, 39% of total papers were published in The Journal of the Society of Korean Medicine Diagnostics, 30% were in Korean Journal of Oriental Physiology & Pathology, taking up 69% of total papers. 3. As we analyzed by the number of survey taken in each research, 11 papers surveyed 2 times, 7 papers surveyed 3 times, 1 paper suerveyed one time. 4. As we analyzed by the purpose of technique application, 91% of papers were aimed at the development of questions, 9% of papers were aimed at policy recommendation. Conclusions These results suggest that although many researches were trying to quantify the symptom of patient, to demonstrate on exact data and to accomplish the scientification of diagnosis, the number of paper is insufficient. Therefore, it seems that more researches must be taken afterward. (J Korean Med Rehab 2015;25(3):59-64)
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
