: As the market of lithium secondary batteries moves from mobile IT devices to largeformat electric vehicles or energy storage systems, the strengthened battery specifications such as long-term reliability longer than 10 years, pack-level safety and tough competitive price have been required. Moreover, even though high power properties should also be achieved for hybrid electric vehicles, it is not easy to measure accurate power values at various conditions. Because it is difficult to choose a proper measurement method and its experimental condition is more complex comparing to capacity measurement. In addition, the power values are very sensitive to power duration time, state-of-charge (SOC) of cells, cut-off voltages, and temperatures, whereas capacity values are not. In this paper, we introduce three kinds of power measurement methods, hybrid pulse power characterization (HPPC) suggested by US FreedomCar, so-called J-pulse by Japan electric vehicle association standards (JEVS) and constant power measurement, respectively. Moreover, with pouch-type unit cells for HEV, experimental power data are discussed in order to compare each power measurement.
This paper examines 38 qualitative case studies, published from 2007 to 2009, to critically review whether the core notions of qualitative inquiry have been realized in the articles published within last three years. Based on the integrated criteria of evaluation from several researchers, one can conclude that most of the participating case studies in this study lack negative case analyses, which challenge researcher's hypotheses or beliefs. As a result, the credibility of the researchers' interpretations is seriously threatened. In addition, the notion of triangulation has still not been represented, although participating researchers claim that they did collect data from a variety of sources in their studies. To reach a credible conclusion, all researchers would agree that negative case analysis and data triangulation are not options but necessary conditions, especially in case studies. To fill the gap between the qualitative researchers' awareness of these standards and their failure to represent the results in incorporated and systematic ways, the researcher of this study postulates that adopting a computer assisted qualitative data analysis system (CAQDAS) may not only enhance the quality of analysis, but make the writing process less complicated.
To enzymatically prepare amylopectin cluster (APC), cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase I-5) and its mutant enzyme from alkalophilic Bacillus sp. I-5 were employed, after which the hydrolysis patterns of CGTase wild-type and its mutant enzyme toward amylopectin were investigated using multi-angle laser light scattering. CGTase wild-type dramatically reduced the molecular weight of waxy rice starch at the initial reaction, whereas the mutant enzyme degraded waxy rice starch relatively slowly. Based on the results, the molecular weight of one cluster of amylopectin could be about 10 4 ~105 g/mol. To determine production of cyclic glucans from amylopectin, matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry was performed. CGTase I-5 produced various types of cyclic maltooligosaccharides from amylopectin, whereas the mutant enzyme hardly produced any.Key words: cyclodextrin glucanotransferase, amylopectin cluster, amylopectin, starch, hydrolysis
Behavioral problems could be easily observed in patients with various mental disorders, and may be inevitable. Self-injurious behavior(SIB) can be defined as a deliberate or subconscious alteration or destruction of one' s body without conscious suicidal intent. SIB frequently involves oral tissues and could vary from a trifling injury to damages that could lead to further disabilities. The cases presented in this report discuss oral SIB due to Tic disorder and ADHD and their treatments. Clinicians should be well aware of the possibility of oral SIB in various mental disorders as well as the diverse depths of such behaviors accordingly. Moreover, different treatment modalities should be prioritized according to the causative mental disorders. [
Purpose: The purpose of this survey was to understand the current status of maternal and newborn health management child health in North Korea. Methods: This survey was descriptive study based on data from North Korean defectors. A structured questionnaire was self-administered from May 1 st to June 30 th 2012. The participants were recruited from North Korean defectors who were all over 20 years old in Seoul and Gwangju-si.The analyses focused on antenatal care, pregnancy care, delivery, emergency treatment and postpartum care in maternal health. The data of child health got within newborn health, breastfeeding and vaccination. Results: In the maternal health, a percentage of 61.8 had experience of antenatal care. The timing of the first antenatal contact was average 8.2 weeks. Doctor (45.5%), midwife (19.1%) and nurse (2.7%) were included as health care provider in antenatal care. Reported content of antenatal care during pregnancy were hight/weight taken (29.1%), blood pressure (34.5%), urine analysis (51.8 %) and blood analysis (37.3%). The majority of the women (67.3%) delivered at hospital, amounted to 32.7% of women delivered at home. A nurse/midwife assisted at 26.4 percent of the births while doctors assisted with the delivery of the remaining 38.4 percent of births. During labor, 38.2 percent had serious emergency indications and needed to transfer recommending hospital. Moreover, 40.5 percent could not get opportunity to move other hospital. Of the total participation, 30.9 per-E 1) *이 논문은 서울대학교 평화통일연구소의 2011년 서울대학교 통일학ㆍ평화학 연구비(800-20110392)에 의해 연구되었음.-38 -cent had experience of postpartum care. In the child health, findings in healthy newborn infants were 59.7 percent and hospital delivery (40.9%) was relatively high compared to home delivery (22%). Most of women (82.7%) breastfeed a baby more than one month. A percentage of 77.3 received routine vaccination. Conclusion: The survey investigated the key maternal and child health in North Korea. These baseline data can be used to develop maternal and child health-improvement program. Overall, the findings will provide a unique opportunity to support North Korea from other institution and non-governmental organization.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
