11.1: Invited Paper: Development of the World‐wide Largest 110′ 4K2K 3D TFT‐LCD Display

Abstract: CSOT has successfully developed 110‐inch LCD TV that is the largest LCD TV. It integrates many innovations in LCD technology, containing 50000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 1000 nits ultra high brightness, high‐saturated color reproduction with NTSC 92% and 288 areas local dimming backlight. Moreover, Shutter‐glasses 3D function has also been achieved

“…Large-size thin-film-transistor-driven liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) with high resolution, high frame rate and favorable viewing angle emerges as consumers' preference recently [1][2][3]. Higher resolution displays can unfold more subtle details before watchers' eyes, and higher frame rate can effectively reduce the motion blur with shorter motion picture response time (MPRT).…”

“…Active matrix flat panel displays such as active matrix liquid crystal displays and active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) displays have occupied most of display markets due to their advancement in size, resolution, frame rate [1][2][3][4][5]. However, these high performances lead to large capacitive and resistive line load as well as small line time, which cause the insufficient charging time for pixel electrodes.…”
