Abstract: Obesity is a life-threatening metabolic disorder necessitating urgent development of safe and effective therapy. Currently, limited such therapeutic measures are available for obesity. The present study was designed to develop a novel, safe and effective herbal therapy for the management of obesity. “…The anti-adipogenic activity was assessed in the 3T3-L1 cell line using the methods explained by Pandeya et al 22 3T3-L1 preadipocytes were cultured and subcultured in 10% NCS supplemented with DMEM growth medium with 1% antibiotics (penicillin–streptomycin). Cells were maintained under a humidified atmosphere of 5% CO 2 at 37°C.…”

“…Therefore, controlling the transcription of the adipogenic gene and proteins expression can be a good intervention to halt the process of obesity. Polyherbal formulation, such as 18KHT01, and isolated compounds from herbal resources (polygalin C and others), were found to be effective in controlling these adipogenic factors, indicating the potential of medicinal plants and isolated compounds in the management of adipogenesis and obesity [8][9][10][11].…”
