Abstract

In the title compound, C13H9NO4, the dihedral angle between the benzene and furan rings is 31.63 (6)°. The nitro group is almost coplanar with the attached benzene ring. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C—H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules, forming chains along the b axis.
