“…CDC is located in the renal medulla and originates from the epithelial cells of Bellini collecting ducts [1]. Because of its unique biological and pathologic characteristics that are different from the other renal cell carcinomas, it’s considered to be an independent histological type.…”

“…Collecting duct carcinoma (CDC) is a type of kidney cancer that originates in the duct of Bellini of the kidney and also known by several synonyms like Bellini duct carcinoma, medullary renal carcinoma, distal renal tubular carcinoma and distal nephron carcinoma [1,2]. CDC is an unusual variant of renal cell carcinoma and accounts for about 1% of all renal cell carcinomas.…”

“…The prognostic relevance was determined by establishing a disease-specific risk model that considered tumor size, metastasis, grade, and lymph vessel infiltration [8]. To date, no reports have documented that patients with localized CDC who are treated by nephron-sparing renal surgery or radical nephrectomy have favorable outcomes and that as a result, surgery could be a curative treatment option [21,22]. Unfortunately, the number of localized CDCs in the present study is small (n=7), and the mean follow-up is rather short (28.3 months), but a 100% CSS of two patients after five years has been calculated.…”

“…На сегодняшний день в литературе описано около 400 случаев карциномы протоков Bellini [9]. Таким образом, из-за редкости данного заболевания и недостаточной клинической осведомленности установленного протокола диагностики и лечения не существует [11]. С целью расширения представлений и систематизации имеющейся информации мы описали наше клиническое наблюдение пациента с обнаруженной на ранней стадии карциномой протоков Bellini, а также провели литературный обзор, посвящённый данному подтипу ПКР.…”
