“…1 Columnchromatography-based 68 Ge/ 68 Ga generators have been developed with broad array of inorganic adsorbents, such as Al 2 O 3 , CeO 2 , SnO 2 , TiO 2 , and ZrO 2 , and organic resins, such as pyragallol formaldehyde resin. 10,[26][27][28][29][30][31] The column chromatography separation approach has also been used in the development of 191 Os/ 191m Ir generators, using a variety of adsorbents, such as activated carbon, silica gel impregnated with tridodecylmethylammonium chloride, and an anion-exchange column (AGMP-1). [32][33][34][35] On a similar theme, 113 Sn/ 113m In generators have also been developed using ZrO 2 , activated carbon, and glass beads.…”

“…40 Generators are a useful laboratory source of radionuclides that rely on the easy desorption of the required daughter isotope from a column which rigorously retains the parent. Pre-treatment of the alumina substrate was found to be particularly important 41 for a gallium-68 generator, whilst a supported liquid membrane 42, 43 was used to allow the passage of just yttrium-90 from pre-treated high level reactor waste. Generators are particularly popular as a source of technetium ( 99m Tc from the decay of 99 Mo) and improvements are continually reported; some recent ideas have included zirconium-molybdenum gels 44 and the use of alumina 45 or titanium polymers 46 as adsorbants.…”
