“…To test the effects of mussel presence and density on macroinvertebrate community composition, and the influence of mussel species identity on these effects, we studied benthic communities from Dhanmondi Lake in Dhaka, Bangladesh, which include the mussel species Lamellidens marginalis (Lamarck, 1819) and Parreysia caerulea (Lea, 1831). Lamellidens is a more widespread species (Wagh et al, 2019) and tends to be found at higher abundance than Parreysia (Dey et al, 2016; Sarang & Sharma, 2014). Lamellidens generally also grows to a larger size than Parreysia , with average lengths of 78 and 47 mm, respectively (Siddiqui et al, 2007).…”
