“…Histological types of primary uterine cervical tumors have varied between small cell carcinoma 6 (the present case), squamous cell carcimoma, 7 and adenoendocrine cell carcinoma. 8 There have been only four evaluable cases 6,7,8 (five lesions) including our case of pancreatic metastasis from uterine cervical cancer. The metastatic locations were the pancreas head (one lesion), body (two lesions), and tail (two lesions).…”

“…2 Uterine cervical cancer is a rare lesion as the primary site of pancreatic metastasis, and when it metastasizes, the retroperitoneal lymph nodes, lung, bone, and liver are usually targeted. 4,5 Metastasis to the pancreas from uterine cervical carcinoma is very rare and 3 cases in clinical series [6][7][8] and 13 cases in autopsy series 9,10 having been reported. Recently, endoscopic ultrasonography-guided fine needle aspiration (EUS-FNA) is noted for its accuracy and safety in cytology and biopsy of the pancreas.…”

“…Indeed, there were none among 103 (reported from Japan [3]) or 81 (reported from the Unites States [2]) cases in autopsy series with secondary tumors of the pancreas. In surgical series, only five cases of a pancreatic secondary tumor arising from cervical cancer have been reported [2,[4][5][6][7]. Here, we present a Japanese case with a pancreatic metastasis of an invasive cervical cancer that was manifested by obstructive jaundice.…”
