A Comparative Study For Color Systems Used In The DCT-DWT Watermarking Algorithm

Abstract: This paper presents a comparative study of using different color systems on watermarking algorithms. This comparison aim is to determining the robustness and the stability of the color systems used in the watermarking scheme. The watermarking algorithm that is used in this paper is a hybrid scheme using the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) in the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) domain. The DCT-DWT watermarking algorithm is applied using three color systems, the RGB (Red, Green and Blue) color system, the HSV (… Show more

“…This scene was taken from the library of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) agency. All of the used datasets' images are Geo-tiff RGB images where the Geo-tiff RGB images, in remote sensing, are similar to RGB images [28] with the difference that these images contain the coordinates of the covered area. The details of these datasets and the big scene will be introduced, followed by the experiment's setup and results.…”

“…During the sharing and distribution of multimedia data, digital images can be easily reproduced and manipulated. This situation causes the copyright violations of users and the violations of privacy of personal data [1,2,3]. Many methods are used to protect digital images, one of them is the watermarking technique [1,2,4,5].…”
