A Comparative Study on the Routing Problem of Electric and Fuel Vehicles Considering Carbon Trading

Abstract: In order to explore the impact of using electric vehicles on the cost and environment of logistics enterprises, this paper studies the optimization of vehicle routing problems with the consideration of carbon trading policies. Both the electric vehicle routing model and the traditional fuel vehicle routing model are constructed aiming at minimizing the total costs, which includes the fixed costs of vehicles, depreciation costs, penalty costs for violating customer time window, energy costs and carbon trading c… Show more

“…Micheli et al [39] studied the inventory routing problem under low-carbon policies, considering the uncertainty of customer demand and heterogeneous fleet, and discussed the impact of different carbon policies on the economy and environment. Liao et al [40] constructed the electric vehicle routing model and traditional fuel vehicle routing model to explore the impact of electric vehicles on the cost and environment of logistics enterprises under the carbon trading policy. Zhou et al [41] studied the robust optimization of multi-capacity LRP in the distribution network design under the carbon trading strategy.…”

“…Therefore, promoting the development of EVs is critical to deal with climate change challenges and achieve sustainable transport [16,17]. As an important guarantee for the development of EVs, the development level of electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) has a direct impact on the development speed and quality of the electric vehicle industry [18][19][20]. However, the shortage of EVCS has become one of the important factors hindering the development of the electric vehicle industry [21].…”
