Abstract:In this paper, we developed an optimal control of a reaction–diffusion mathematical model, describing the spatial spread of dengue infection. Compartments for human and vector populations are considered in the model, including a compartment for the aquatic phase of mosquitoes. This enabled us to discuss the vertical transmission effects on the spread of the disease in a two-dimensional domain, using demographic data for different scenarios. The model was analyzed, establishing the existence and convergence of … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
