A cross-layer MAC/PHY framework for PER guarantee in multiuser detection based ad hoc networks

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a cross-layer MAC/PHY (Medium Access Control Layer/Physical layer) framework to increase the throughput respecting a target packet error rate (PER) required by the nodes. High capacity CDMA ad hoc network with full multiuser detection (MUD) MAC layer is considered.
