“…In recent years, in the process of water-sensitive geological drilling, various materials have been used to modify water-based drilling fluids to reduce and prevent the expansion of clay minerals. The most common method is to use plugging materials or inhibitors in the drilling fluid (Boek et al, 1995;Gholami et al, 2018;Ge et al, 2012). Ultrafine calcium carbonate, heat activated polyethylene glycol (Akhtarmanesh et al, 2013), asphaltene (Metin et al, 2013), nano silica (Elochukwu et al, 2017) and other plugging materials can form a thin solid layer to a certain extent and reduce formation water inflow.…”
