The optimal control of the electrical servo drive systems allows a significant decrease of the energy losses. The paper takes into account a servo drive system with brushless or d.c. motor. A free or a fixed end-point problem can be used for the optimal control. Symmetrical algorithms for the both problems are proposed. These algorithms can be easier implemented by comparison with classical procedures.

The linear quadratic optimal problems for a servo drive system with brushless or d.c. motor are presented. The problems with finite final time and with fixed and free end-point are considered. Symmetrical algorithms for the both problems are proposed. These algorithms simplify the optimal control law implementation by comparison with classical procedures. The optimal control ensures a good behaviour of the system and the decrease of the energy consumption.
