“…It is reported that every ischemic AKI insult diminishes the intrarenal total vascular surface area, subsequently followed or accompanied by endothelial-to-mesenchymal transdifferentiation (EndoMT) (O'Riordan et al, 2007;Zeisberg et al, 2008).
