Abstract

A Hetero Diels-Alder Approach to the Synthesis of the First Angucyclinone and Angucycline 5-Aza-analogues. -The (E,E)-heterodienes (IV) are subjected to [4 + 2]cycloaddition reactions with several bromonaphthoquinones (VI) to give angucyclinone 5-aza analogues regioselectively.
