A highly sensitive and compact plasmonic ring nano-biosensor for monitoring glucose concentration

Abstract: In this study, a new plasmonic biosensor is proposed, which is highly sensitive with a compact structure, based on numerical methods for glucose concentration monitoring in different samples. The biosensor is based on a metal-insulator-metal waveguide and a ring resonator, and the calculated results are analyzed. The glucose biosensor operation is based on the refractive index of the glucose solution in the structure. In this study, to improve the sensitivity of the biosensor, the effect of the inner radius si… Show more

“…Based on eqn (15), the APs forming based on the CPA of the OBM at different fs are calculated. When the value of Dj 2 is 01, a sharp AP forms at about f = 108.92 THz in the case of n D = 1.66.…”

“…In recent years, various multi-port output beam splitters have been proposed, such as even-port beam splitter [6][7][8][9], odd-port output beam splitter [10][11][12], and polarization selective beam splitter [13,14]. Among them, the three-port beam splitter has the features of simple structure and large manufacturing tolerance, so it is widely used in pulse detection [15], sensors [16][17][18][19][20][21], signal processing [22][23][24], and photonic crystal fabrication [25,26]. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an efficient three-port diffraction beam splitter.…”
