A histological study of prostate

Abstract: The work of anatomists and pathologists in the role of study of prostate has been significant. Starting from earlier times till modern time, the study of prostate has been a dynamic one and the basic anatomical knowledge of the prostate has undergone much change apart from the new techniques, micro invasive procedures and the chemotherapeutic approach for various disorders of the gland. The present study was based on the microscopic examination of Prostatic tissue of individuals with individual tissues of diff… Show more

“…control, cribriforms pattern and reduction in intraluminal secretions and papillary infolding, especially in test groups treated with 400 mg/kg methanol fraction ( Figure 7) and 400 mg/kg ethylacetate fraction ( Figure 9) are suggestive of overall histological improvement when compared with BPH control ( Figure 2). The histomorphological changes in prostate tissue sections as seen in Figure 2 when compared with Figure 1 agrees with the features earlier reported (Hassan et al 2013;Mbaka et al 2017). The mechanism of hyperplasia observed may be related to accumulation of DHT in the prostate, which binds to nuclear hormone receptor and triggers cellular growth.…”

“…The ground-state molecule shape was optimized by using density functional theory (DFT) and applying the Gaussian 09 program with the B3LYP/6-31G** basis set. 42,43 By isolating objects in a vacuum and applying no conformational constraints, the optimal geometries were identified. Time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) computations were performed on the optimized geometries to predict the vertical electronic excitation energies (using the same functional and basis sets as the prior calculations).…”

“…A probable explanation may be that androgens are required for initiation of BPH but not for its maintenance. [5,6] Cystometry is the recording of the pressure-volume relationship of the bladder. The method yields important information concerning accommodation of the bladder to increased filling volumes and sensory perceptions.…”
