A Human Body Pressure Distribution Imaging System Based on Wavelet Analysis and Resistance Tomography

Abstract: In this paper, a pressure distribution sensing system based on wavelet analysis and resistance tomography is proposed to overcome the shortcomings of a traditional electrode type pressure distribution sensor, which needs to be arranged with many electrodes and has a high production cost. The system uses ADS1256, a constant current source module, a serial communication module, a Raspberry host, a touch screen, and other components. The wavelet transform is used to preprocess the collected signal to improve the … Show more

“…According to the measured voltage value, the gray distribution of representative resistivity can be obtained, and the stress field distribution can be obtained. The device can be used as a sensing device for plane stress, such as sensing the stress distribution of human body pressure [ 42 ].…”

“…To maximize the effect of the pressure relief through APAMs, a robust and reliable measurement of the body pressure is required simultaneously [1,5,8]. Usually, the main types of sensors to measure the interface pressure are based on the measurement of variations in resistance or capacitance from a deformable sensing component [9,10,11,12,13]. The capacitive pressure sensor measures changes in thickness between layers when pressed.…”

“…This sensor has thin and flexible structures, and the sensor needs simple circuitry. However, its output signal is nonlinear with a slow response, and it shows high power consumption [13,14]. Both capacitive and resistive sensors have been reported that they have hysteresis limitation of the measured value drifts over time [14,15].…”

“…However, the seismic wave caused by TRT is relatively weak and easy to be absorbed by unfavorable geological bodies such as fracture zones during the transmission process, which might lead to a short detection length. Of course, it is possible to use empirical mode decomposition (EMD) analysis and wavelet analysis to process TRT wave signals to improve detection accuracy [18,19]. The HSP method is proposed by the China Academy of Railway Sciences.…”
