A Hybrid Predictive Type-3 Fuzzy Control for Time-Delay Multi-Agent Systems

Abstract: In this paper, the consensus problem is addressed for multi-agent systems. The dynamics of each agent contain unknown uncertain/nonlinear terms and unknown time delays. A type-3 fuzzy logic system is developed to tackle the effect of unknown dynamics and design a hybrid controller. The policy scheme involves two control signals for the stabilization of the approximation and consensus error of each agent dynamic. To this end, based on the concept of the model predictive control approach, the constrained control… Show more

“…In addition, the utilization of type-3 fuzzy logic in conjunction with MFL produces the best results, as it is able to handle both kinds of uncertainty (coming from knowledge contradiction and from the noise in the controllers). As a future work, we will continue constructing the basis for mediative fuzzy controllers, and, later, their applications in different control problems, such as the ones discussed in [29][30][31][32]. The optimization of the mediative fuzzy controllers with metaheuristics (such as particle swarm optimization, genetic algorithms or others) could be considered as a future research direction, and it is expected that the results could be improved even further.…”

“…Here, we are modeling these systems with the concept of delay in the derivative; that is, a neutral delay differential system. We use the concept of "fuzzy numbers" [2,3] to approximate the specific interval. The hybrid type and neutral type delay differential equations (DDEs) are important in the modeling of a natural system whose behavior is predicted by its history, which has undergone sudden discrete changes between continuous processes.…”
