Abstract:revealed association of hERG1a, hERG1b, and SCN5A mRNAs and their corresponding proteins hERG1a, hERG1b and Na V 1.5, indicative of a cotranslational complex. Furthermore, the transcripts can be co-regulated in iPSC-CMs as indicated by a coordinate decrease of SCN5A, hERG1a and hERG1b transcript levels upon hERG1b-specific silencing. Whole-cell patch clamp revealed a corresponding reduction in the magnitude of the potassium I Kr and sodium I Na currents. The co-translational association and coregulation of tra… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
