A Importância Da Alfabetização Cartográfica Nas Aulas De Geografia Do Ensino Fundamental Para O Entendimento Do Endereço Cósmico Da Terra

Abstract

The study and use of geography in schools is of paramount importance for students to understand the phenomena that occur on the earth's surface and in cosmic space, as well as its effects on society. Based on the main questions from the students about the relationship between cartographic literacy and the cosmic address of the earth, this research aimed to identify the main questions from the 6th grade students about our place in space. where we came from, where we are and what is around us. This research is exploratory, descriptive and qualitative, and has a bibliographic and field data collection, using inductive method with elementary school students from a school in the city of Salgueiro-PE. The instrument for data collection and identification of students' doubts was through lectures and debate on the theme of the Earth in the Solar System. Thus, it was found that teaching about the cosmic address of the Earth from cartographic literacy provides students with a solid basis for the individual perception of space, in a clearer and more objective about what makes up our galaxy, providing a reflection that the studies of the cosmic address of the earth become significant today, The student understands and discovers that this teaching gives him several possibilities to "discover the space where he lives". In addition to the specific learning of the area of geography, being of fundamental importance their discussions in the classroom as a basis for better learning and deepening of the theme in future series.
