Abstract:Intraoral dental prosthesis can cause an unpleasant odor from the mouth, or halitosis. The discomfort of patients with dental prostheses and dental implant restorations increases due to halitosis. Therefore, preventing and reducing halitosis in patients with dental prostheses is necessary. This study reviews the literature on the causes and clinical treatments of halitosis associated with various types of dental prostheses, such as dental implants and removable dentures.
