“…Specifically, all three samples exhibit almost the same diffraction peaks, except an extra peak at the smallest angle (2θ = 12.0°) for G α‑CD . According to previous studies, the peak at around 44° corresponds to (100) or (101) plane with a distance ∼0.205 nm. , Another peak at 2θ = 22.8° indicates a d -spacing of 0.387 nm calculated by the Bragg equation. It is well established that the interlayer distance of graphene in graphite is ∼0.34 nm, and the distance increases in the case of nonideal graphenes. , Therefore, the peak position at 22.8° should be ascribed to the interlayer diffraction of G CD , and it can be speculated that all the G CD samples are slightly oxidized, which is also consistent with combustion chemical analysis and XPS data.…”

“…G and GO peaks on the aged surface indicate the higher substrate bond strength of the GO-Cu composite coating. However, the small peak around 2θ ∼ 20° indicate that some of the GO has converted to rGO. , Interestingly, XRD of GO-Cu surface after the first pool boiling run showed a small bump around 2θ ∼ 20° indicating that some of GO has reduced to rGO. The continuous repetitive pool boiling further converts more of GO to rGO.…”
