Chemoluminescence H 4000 A New Bright Chemiluminescent Reaction: Interaction of Acetone with Solid Potassium Peroxymonosulfate in the Complex of Europium Nitrate. -Rapid addition of liquid acetone to a solid mixture of KHSO5 and Eu(NO3)3, preheated for 5 min at 90-200°C leads to bright chemiluminescence, which may be observed even by the naked eye in a slightly darkened room. Dioxirane and/or singlet-oxygen are proposed as key intermediates of the reaction. -(KAZAKOV*, D.; SAFAROV, F. E.; KAZAKOV, V. P.; SCHMIDT, R.; Mendeleev Commun. 18 (2008) 5, 249-250; Inst.
