A New Image Encryption Technique Combining the Idea of One Time Pad with RGB Value

Abstract: Because of improvement of technology, at present data security is drawn attention to all. Image is an important medium of communication. An image can say thousands of words. So, improvement of image security is more important than security of text. Image is nothing but combination of some pixel values. On the other side, every pixel can be converted into binary value. In this paper, a new image encryption method is proposed based on displacement of RGB value with one time pad. Any 3D image can be encrypted usi… Show more

“…The authors in [84] attempt to survey image encryption and steganography. The research papers [85][86][87][88][89][90][91][92][93][94][95][96][97][98][99][100][101][102] studied in this paper encompass various image encryption and steganography techniques, used to ensure data integrity and security. The encryption techniques were used to convert the input image into a cipher image whereas stenography tech-niques were used to improve the security of the system.…”

“…An image encryption technique proposed by Ferdush et al [27] combines the idea of one time pad with RGB value. Their scheme performs a bitwise XOR operation between RGB and a false image which is generated by the key generator.…”

“…Inspired by the idea, the plain-image is added into a random sequence for a flexible value and SHA-256 hash computes it to yield security key in the paper. The design not only retains the ability to defend against known/chosen-plaintext attack but also realizes one-time pad [28,29].…”
