“…Recently, studies on alkaline-earth stanates for the phosphor host materials of rare-earth activators have been proceeding and photoluminescence (PL) properties have been reported for CaSnO 3 :Eu 3+ , Pr 3+ , Tb 3+ [1][2][3], SrSnO 3 :Eu 3+ , Tb 3+ -Mg 2+ [1,4], Ca 2 SnO 4 :Eu 3+ [5,6], Sr 2 SnO 4 :Eu 3+ , Eu 3+ -Ti 4+ [4,7,8], and Ba 2 Sn O 4 :Eu 3+ [9]. Chen et al [5] synthesized (Ca 1Àx Eu x ) 2 SnO 4 solid solutions at 1100-1300 1C by solid-state reaction and showed the solution limit of Eu(x) at 0.07 by X-ray powder diffraction.…”
