A New Weak-Coupling Method with Eccentric Dual Bucking Coils Applied to the PRBS Helicopter TEM System

Abstract: In the helicopter transient electromagnetic system (HTEM), weak-coupling coils reduce the mutual inductance of the transmitting and receiving coils, which can protect the data acquisition circuit and improve the signal-to-noise of the system. The PRBS HTEM system is a newly proposed multi-receiver EM measurement system, which can effectively identify the system impulse response of the unknown geological model based on the high-precision synchronous recording signal of the PRBS emitted current and induced volta… Show more

“…Moreover, it is difficult to accurately locate the relative position of the TX loop and RX coil. The opposing-coils TEM system [ 11 , 12 ] can reduce the effect of inherent mutual induction between the TX loop and RX coil at the expense of an increase in weight due to the complex coil configuration. The detection result is also sensitive to the vertical position of the RX coil.…”

“…The receiving coil receives the secondary magnetic field, the received data is analyzed and processed, and the orebody and related physical parameters are obtained according to the data [ 8 ]. The working principle of the HTEM detection system is shown in Figure 1 a [ 9 , 10 , 11 , 12 , 13 ].…”
