“…It can be observed that in the previous investigation carried out by the present authors, the combustion synthesis of the sample in the argon inert atmosphere was also studied, and in terms of reaction products, the results were almost the same [15]. It can be deduced that in the process of combustion synthesis performed in this study, the atmosphere of the environment, due to the very short time of the SHS process, has no significant effect on the type and composition of the products.…”

“…In a similar study Afsahi et al, also found that molybdenum disulphide in the presence of lime and water can lead to the production of calcium molybdate along with a calcium sulfide solid phase [14]. Thermodynamic evaluations and preliminary experimental results in present study show that the direct production of ferromolybdenum from the molybdenum sulfide concentrate in the presence of lime as desulfurization agent could be possible in one step using aluminothermic reduction method [15]. Thus, the roasting of molybdenite and its molybdenum loss could be obviated to a considerable extent.…”

“…Sulfide ores are main mineral resource of non-ferrous metals and are widely used to extract elements such as copper, lead, zinc, molybdenum and nickel [1][2][3][4][5][6]. Demond for non-ferrous metals is growing in response to continuous advances in science and technology [7,8]. Currently, most non-ferrous metals are extracted from sulfide mineral, which is recovered from sulfide ores by flotation [9][10][11].…”
