A Picture Worth Remembering: Posttraumatic Purtscher's Retinopathy in a Child

Abstract: Purtscher's retinopathy is frequently described and reviewed in the ophthalmology literature but is rarely described in the neurology literature, although neurologists are routinely involved in the care of head and chest trauma patients with abnormal neurologic and funduscopic findings. The case of a 6-year-old girl with Purtscher's retinopathy is described, and the relevant literature is reviewed.
