Weyer, Park and Banzhaf (1931), and Morgan and Fairbrother (1930) employed the salt fractionation technique to concentrate and purify, to some extent, the antibodies of hyperimmunized horse serum. Since these two groups of workers disagree as to what protein fraction of the serum, pseudoglobulin or euglobulin, contains the higher concentration of antibody, and since the method was for other reasons unsuited to this investigation, our attempts at antibody purification have been along other lines.…”
