A Potentized Homeopathic Drug, Arsenicum Album 200, Can Ameliorate Genotoxicity Induced by Repeated Injections of Arsenic Trioxide in Mice

Abstract: Summary Groundwater arsenic contamination has become a menacing global problem. No drug is available until now to combat chronic arsenic poisoning. To examine if a potentized homeopathic remedy, Arsenicum Album‐200, can effectively combat chronic arsenic toxicity induced by repeated injections of Arsenic trioxide in mice, the following experimental design was adopted. Mice (Mus musculus) were injected subcutaneously with 0.016% arsenic trioxide at the rate of 1 ml/100 g body weight, at an interval of 7 days un… Show more

“…However, authors who used an inappropriate test in their first studies often changed to more appropriate tests in subsequent studies. 15,16 In all cases, there was convergence of results between old and new experiments, despite the discrepancy of statistical methods. Thus, this problem was not sufficient to change the general conclusion.…”

“…The isopathy model: Between 1998 and 2009, Khuda-Bukhsh 0 s group published a series of well-conducted studies on the protective role of Arsenicum album at two different high potencies (30c and 200c) in the experimental intoxication of mice with arsenic trioxide. 15,16,[28][29][30][31][32] Considering their work as a whole, the protective action of Arsenicum album 30c was verified in blind experiments, using succussed and unsuccussed controls. Several complementary parameters were evaluated, including histopathological changes provoked by arsenic trioxide, as well as reduction of oxidative stress measured by enzyme activity.…”

“…Ces modèles toxicologiques ont été repris et enrichis pour arriver à une publication en 1987 dans Humain Toxicologie 23 . Des études sur l'arsenic se poursuivent aujourd'hui en Inde en recherche clinique 24 auprès des populations contaminées par les sels d'arséniate dans l'eau de boisson.…”

“…Change using tautopathic ultra molecular dilutions of lead and arsenic have been demonstrated in animal studies: lead [2][3][4][5]; arsenic [6][7][8][9][10][11][12]. Two pilot studies describe symptom reduction in patients with lead exposure [13] and groundwater arsenic contamination [14] No studies of the tautopathic use of cannabis were found.…”
