A profile of psychologists’ workload in Ireland

Abstract: A survey of psychologists in three Local Health Office Areas in Ireland profiled their caseloads, work complexity and their use of professional time. Results suggest lower caseloads than in previous research.

“…La literatura existente hasta hoy sobre evaluación de la CA de los servicios de Salud Mental está dedicada en su mayor parte a establecer las bases metodológicas de la misma (Bonin, 2018;Branley y Byrne, 2012;Hermann, Chan, Provost y Chiu, 2006;Hermann, Mattke, Somekh et al, 2006;O'Donohue, Graczyk y Yeater, 1998). En cuanto a los estudios empíricos en el campo específico de la PC, son escasos, y suelen evaluar dimensiones concretas de la CA, tales como la carga de trabajo (Dowd et al, 2011), la accesibilidad (Broaddus, 2018) o las habilidades sociales de los clínicos en relación con la CA (Sartori, 2018), no un rango amplio de dimensiones. No hemos encontrado estudios empíricos sobre la CA específicos para la especialidad de PC en servicios sanitarios públicos en España.…”
