A real-time cycle slip repair method using the multi-epoch geometry-based model

Abstract: Unrepaired cycle slips in carrier phase measurements will result in re-initializing integer ambiguities, during which positioning accuracy will be compromised. However, the issue of cycle slip fixing has yet to be completely solved, which impedes the realization of continuous high-precision positioning, especially in real-time precise point positioning applications. Traditional cycle slip (detection and) repair methods only use adjacent epochs to estimate cycle slips in real-time processing. Research indicates… Show more

“…In GNSS data processing, the TurboEdit cycle-slip detection method is widely used because of its high success rate compared to other methods and its good cycle-slip detection for zero-differencing data [35,50]. In practice, the TurboEdit approach combines MWcombined observations and GF-combined observations for cycle-slip detection [51,52].…”

“…Cycle slips are expressed in integer numbers, while the solution given by Equation ( 22) is the float solution of cycle slips [38]; to avoid the effect of rounding errors caused by direct rounding, a method using spatial search and objective function minimization criteria is proposed. To obtain the integer solution of cycle slip, the specific steps are as follows:…”

“…Based on the geometry model, a multi-GNSS and multi-frequency cycle slip repair method is proposed by Li et al [16]. By using the multi-epoch geometrybased model, Zhang and Wang [17] introduced a new cycle slip method for low sampling rate real-time precise point positioning. However, the above methods ignored the influence of different satellite types and sampling rates, which reduce the success rate of cycle slip detection and repair.…”
